Reproduction
All reproduction shifters are a 2 bolt base. The serrations at the base are 1.8" long. The thickness is 5/16" thick from top to bottom. Logos are different. Each letter is a different size. It is most noticeable if you look at the U, the bottom is half a circle

Original shifters use a bayonet style base or a 2 bolt style base. The serrations at the base are separated by a machined flat space in the center. Thickness is 3/8" from the bottom up to almost the lower bezel; and tapers down to 5/16" in the handle/bezel area Logos are different. Each letter is a different size. It is most noticeable if you look at the U, the bottom is flat
GENERAL INFORMATION
The reproduction Hurst shifter arms are different than the original shifter arms. From 1970 to 1974, Chrysler made 4 different shifters with 2 different styles of bases. One was a slide in or bayonet style (OEM style) and the other was a 2 bolt (Hurst style). The OEM style base was mostly made in 1970 and extended into 1971 on some cars. Depending on the build date and the plant it was made at, will determine which base style you need.

DESCRIPTION
#1 1970 to 1974 E-body reproduction handle fits all console and non console cars using the 2 bolt mechanism. It will also fit in the 1971 to 1974 B-body reproduction handle fits all 71-74 console cars using a 2 bolt mechanism. (From the factory, all 1970 e-body cars used the OEM slide in base)
#2 1971-1974 B-body reproduction handle fits all 71-74 non-console cars using a 2 bolt mechanism.
#3 1970 B-body non-console reproduction handle fits all 1970 B-body cars without a console using a 2 bolt mechanism. The factory B-body cars use a special shifting mechanism that has longer fingers to compensate for the long factory handle. See Info section for photos.
